Cooking Ahi Tuna

Sear the Tuna

Heat sesame oil in a skillet over medium-high heat. Season the Ahi tuna steaks with salt and black pepper. Sear each side for about 1-2 minutes, depending on your preferred doneness. Remove from heat and let rest.

Preparing Watermelon Salad

Mix Salad

In a bowl, combine cubed watermelon, chopped mint leaves, and crumbled feta cheese. Toss gently to mix.

Making Soy Mustard Sauce

Combine Ingredients

In a small bowl, whisk together soy sauce, Dijon mustard, and honey until well combined.

Preparing Beurre Blanc

Create the Sauce

In a saucepan, sauté shallots in a bit of butter until translucent. Add white wine and lemon juice. Simmer until reduced by half. Gradually whisk in remaining butter until the sauce is smooth.

Plating

Serve

On a plate, place a portion of the watermelon salad. Slice the seared Ahi tuna and arrange on top. Drizzle with the soy mustard sauce and beurre blanc.
