Cultured Cream and Garnish
Method
Preparation
- 1
Culturing the Cream
In a medium bowl, whisk together the heavy cream and buttermilk. Cover the bowl with a clean kitchen towel and let it sit at room temperature for 12 to 24 hours until it thickens and develops a tangy flavor.
- 2
Seasoning the Cream
Once the cream is cultured, add sea salt and freshly ground black pepper to taste. Mix well until the seasonings are evenly distributed.
- 3
Serving
Transfer the cultured cream to a serving dish. Top with fresh pepper cress, allowing it to scatter over the surface. Serve immediately with crackers or bread.
