Method
Cooking the Pasta
Boil Water
In a large pot, bring a gallon of water to a boil. Add 1 tsp of salt.
Cook Fettuccine
Add 12 oz of fettuccine pasta to the boiling water. Cook according to package instructions until al dente, usually about 8-10 minutes.
Drain Pasta
Once cooked, drain the pasta in a colander and set aside.
Cooking the Chicken
Prepare Chicken
Season the chicken breasts with 1 tsp of garlic powder, 0.5 tsp of salt, and 0.5 tsp of black pepper.
Grill Chicken
In a skillet, heat 2 tbs of olive oil over medium heat. Add the seasoned chicken breasts and cook for about 6-7 minutes on each side or until fully cooked (internal temperature should reach 165°F).
Slice Chicken
Once cooked, remove the chicken from the skillet and let it rest for a few minutes before slicing it into strips.
Making the Alfredo Sauce
Add Cream and Cheese
Pour in 1 cup of heavy cream and stir until well combined. Gradually add 1 cup of Parmesan cheese while stirring continuously until the sauce is smooth.
Season the Sauce
Add 2 minced garlic cloves, 0.5 tsp of salt, and 0.5 tsp of black pepper to the sauce. Stir well and let it simmer for 2-3 minutes.
Combining Everything
Mix Pasta and Sauce
Add the drained fettuccine pasta to the Alfredo sauce and toss until the pasta is well coated.
Add Chicken
Place the sliced grilled chicken on top of the pasta and sauce mixture. Garnish with 2 tbs of chopped parsley.
