Method

Preparation of the Topping

  1. 1

    Chop the Tomatoes

Dice the fresh tomatoes into small pieces and place them in a mixing bowl.

  2. 2

    Add Garlic and Basil

Mince the garlic cloves and add them to the bowl with the diced tomatoes. Chop the fresh basil leaves and add them to the mixture.

  3. 3

    Season the Mixture

Add the balsamic vinegar, salt, and black pepper to taste. Gently mix all the ingredients together until well combined.

Preparing the Bread

  1. 4

    Slice the Baguette

Cut the baguette into 1/2 inch thick slices diagonally.

  2. 5

    Brush with Olive Oil

Brush both sides of each slice with olive oil to ensure they get a nice grill.

  3. 6

    Grill the Bread

Preheat a grill or grill pan over medium-high heat. Grill the bread slices for about 2-3 minutes on each side, or until they are golden brown and crispy.

Assembling the Bruschetta

  1. 7

    Top the Bread

Once the bread is grilled, remove it from the heat and let it cool slightly. Spoon a generous amount of the tomato mixture onto each slice of grilled bread.

  2. 8

    Serve Immediately

Arrange the bruschetta on a serving platter and serve immediately while the bread is still warm.
