Base Ingredients

Method

Preparation

  1. 1

    Whisk the Eggs

In a medium bowl, crack the 3 large eggs and whisk them together until the yolks and whites are fully combined. Add 1 tsp of salt and 1 tsp of black pepper, and whisk again until everything is well mixed.

  2. 2

    Prepare the Filling

Choose your desired fillings from the filling options. If you are using vegetables like bell peppers, onions, or mushrooms, dice or slice them as appropriate. Measure out 1 cup of each filling you want to use.

Cooking

  1. 3

    Heat the Pan

Place a non-stick skillet over medium heat and add 1 tablespoon of butter. Allow the butter to melt and become bubbly but not browned.

  2. 4

    Add the Eggs

Pour the whisked eggs into the skillet and let them cook undisturbed for about 1-2 minutes, or until the edges start to set.

  3. 5

    Add Fillings

Once the edges of the omelette are set, sprinkle your chosen fillings evenly over one half of the omelette. If using cheese, place it on top of the other fillings.

  4. 6

    Fold the Omelette

Using a spatula, gently fold the unfilled half of the omelette over the filled half. Allow it to cook for an additional 1-2 minutes until the cheese melts and the eggs are fully cooked.

  5. 7

    Serve

Carefully slide the omelette onto a plate. Optionally, garnish with fresh herbs or additional toppings as desired. Serve hot.
