Chicken Wings
Marinade
Sauce (Optional)
Method
Preparation
- 1
Preparing the Wings
Start by rinsing the jumbo bone-in chicken wings under cold water and patting them dry with paper towels. This helps to remove any excess moisture for better crisping.
- 2
Marinating the Wings
In a large bowl, mix together the olive oil, garlic powder, paprika, salt, black pepper, cayenne pepper, honey, and apple cider vinegar to create the marinade. Add the chicken wings to the bowl and toss until they are fully coated in the marinade. Cover and refrigerate for at least 1 hour, preferably overnight.
Cooking
- 3
Preheat the Oven
Preheat your oven to 425°F (220°C).
- 4
Baking the Wings
Arrange the marinated chicken wings on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper or aluminum foil for easy cleanup. Make sure they are spaced out and not touching for even cooking. Bake for 35-40 minutes, flipping halfway through, until they are golden brown and crispy.
Optional Sauce
- 5
Making the Sauce
While the wings are baking, you can prepare the optional hot sauce. In a small saucepan over low heat, combine the hot sauce and butter. Stir until the butter is melted and the mixture is well combined.
- 6
Coating the Wings
Once the wings are finished baking, remove them from the oven and toss them in the hot sauce mixture if desired. Serve hot with your favorite dipping sauce.
