Chicken Tenders
Method
Preparation
- 1
Prepare the Chicken
Start by trimming any excess fat from the boneless chicken breasts. Cut each breast into strips approximately 1 inch wide to form tenders.
- 2
Set Up Breading Station
In a shallow bowl, combine the all-purpose flour, salt, black pepper, garlic powder, and onion powder. In another bowl, whisk together the eggs and milk until well combined. In a third bowl, place the bread crumbs.
Breading Process
- 3
Coat the Chicken
Take each chicken strip and first coat it in the flour mixture, shaking off any excess. Next, dip it into the egg mixture, allowing any excess to drip off. Finally, roll it in the bread crumbs to ensure an even coating.
- 4
Repeat
Repeat the coating process for all chicken strips until they are all breaded.
Cooking
- 5
Heat Oil
In a large skillet, heat the oil over medium-high heat. To test if the oil is ready, drop a small piece of bread into the oil; if it sizzles, it's ready.
- 6
Fry the Chicken Tenders
Carefully place the breaded chicken tenders in the hot oil, making sure not to overcrowd the pan. Fry for about 4-5 minutes on each side or until they are golden brown and cooked through.
- 7
Drain
Once cooked, transfer the chicken tenders to a plate lined with paper towels to drain any excess oil.
Serving
- 8
Serve
Serve the chicken tenders plain or toss them in your favorite Duff's sauce. Enjoy hot!
