Preparing Chicken Fingers
1. Prepare Chicken
Cut the boneless chicken breasts into strips.
2. Set Up Breading Station
In three separate bowls, place the flour seasoned with salt, black pepper, and garlic powder in one; beat the eggs in another; and place the breadcrumbs in the third.
3. Bread the Chicken
Dip each chicken strip first in the flour, then in the beaten eggs, and finally coat with breadcrumbs. Ensure each strip is well coated.
4. Fry the Chicken
Heat oil in a frying pan over medium heat. Once hot, add the breaded chicken strips in batches, frying until golden brown and cooked through, about 4-5 minutes per side. Remove and drain on paper towels.
Assembling the Sandwich
5. Prepare the Bun
Slice the burger buns in half and toast them lightly if desired.
6. Add Lettuce
Place a layer of lettuce on the bottom half of each bun.
7. Add Chicken Fingers
Place two chicken fingers on top of the lettuce on each bun.
8. Add Tomato
Slice the tomato and place a slice on top of the chicken fingers.
9. Add Sauce
Drizzle Duff's sauce generously over the chicken and tomato.
10. Complete the Sandwich
Place the top half of the bun over the assembled ingredients and press down gently.
