Prepare the Burger Patty
- 1
Mash the Black Beans
In a large bowl, drain and rinse the canned black beans. Use a fork or potato masher to mash them until mostly smooth, leaving some chunks for texture.

Mix Ingredients
Add the cooked quinoa, breadcrumbs, chipotle in adobo sauce, cumin, garlic powder, salt, and pepper to the mashed black beans. Mix until well combined.
- 3
Form Patties
Divide the mixture into four equal parts and shape them into patties. Refrigerate for at least 30 minutes to firm up.
Grill the Vegetables

Slice the Vegetables
Slice the onion and bell pepper into thin strips.

Grill the Onions and Peppers
In a skillet, heat 1 tablespoon of olive oil over medium heat. Add the sliced onions and peppers, cooking until they are softened and slightly charred, about 8-10 minutes. Set aside.
