Base Layer

Ice Cream Mixture

Method

Preparation of Coffee Mixture

  1. 1

    Brew Espresso

Brew 1 cup of strong espresso coffee and set aside to cool.

  2. 2

    Mix Coffee with Liqueurs

In a shallow dish, combine the cooled espresso, Amaretto, and Kahlua. Stir well to blend.

Layering the Tiramisu

  1. 3

    Dip Ladyfingers

Quickly dip each ladyfinger into the coffee mixture, ensuring they're soaked but not soggy. Lay them in a single layer in a 9x13 inch dish.

  2. 4

    Prepare Ice Cream Mixture

In a large bowl, soften the vanilla ice cream slightly until it is spreadable. Mix in the Crème de Cacao and powdered sugar until smooth.

  3. 5

    Spread Ice Cream

Spread half of the ice cream mixture over the first layer of soaked ladyfingers.

  4. 6

    Add Second Layer of Ladyfingers

Repeat the process with another layer of dipped ladyfingers, placing them over the ice cream layer.

  5. 7

    Top with Remaining Ice Cream

Spread the remaining ice cream mixture over the second layer of ladyfingers, smoothing the top.

Final Touch

  1. 8

    Freeze

Cover the dish with plastic wrap and freeze for at least 4 hours or until solid.

  2. 9

    Serve

Before serving, let the tiramisu sit at room temperature for about 10 minutes to soften slightly. Dust with cocoa powder before slicing.
