Method

Burger Patties

  1. 1

    Prepare the Patties

In a mixing bowl, combine ground beef, salt, and black pepper. Mix well, then divide the mixture into 4 equal portions and shape them into patties.

  2. 2

    Cook the Patties

Preheat a grill or skillet over medium-high heat. Cook the patties for about 4-5 minutes on each side or until they reach your desired doneness.

Cheese

  1. 3

    Melt the Cheese

In the last minute of cooking the patties, place two slices of cheddar cheese on each patty to melt.

Toppings

  1. 4

    Prepare the Toppings

Wash and chop the lettuce. Slice the tomato into thick rounds. Set the pickles aside.

Secret Sauce

  1. 5

    Make the Secret Sauce

In a small bowl, combine mayonnaise, ketchup, Dijon mustard, garlic powder, and onion powder. Mix until smooth and well combined.

House Fries

  1. 6

    Prepare the Fries

Preheat the oven to 425°F (220°C). Wash and cut the russet potatoes into thin strips. Toss with olive oil, salt, and paprika.

  2. 7

    Bake the Fries

Spread the potato strips on a baking sheet in a single layer. Bake for 25-30 minutes or until golden brown and crispy, flipping halfway through.

Assembling the Burger

  1. 8

    Assemble the Burger

Toast the burger buns lightly if desired. Spread a generous amount of secret sauce on the bottom bun. Layer with lettuce, tomato slices, two cheese-topped patties, pickles, and finish with the top bun.
