Prepare the Tomatoes
Wash the tomatoes thoroughly, then dice them into small cubes. Place them in a mixing bowl.

Add Basil
Chop the fresh basil leaves roughly and add them to the bowl with the tomatoes.

Mix in Seasonings
Drizzle the olive oil and balsamic vinegar over the tomato and basil mixture. Season with salt and pepper. Toss everything gently to combine.

Prepare the Mozzarella
Cut the mozzarella cheese into small cubes or tear it into small pieces and add it to the tomato mixture. Stir gently to combine.

Slice the Baguette
Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C). Slice the baguette into 1/2 inch thick slices on a diagonal.

Toast the Bread
Place the sliced baguette on a baking sheet and drizzle lightly with olive oil. Toast in the preheated oven for about 5-7 minutes or until the bread is golden and crispy.

Once the bread is toasted, remove it from the oven and let it cool slightly. Spoon a generous amount of the tomato and mozzarella mixture onto each slice of toasted bread.
