Method

Bread Preparation

  1. 1

    Activate the Yeast

In a small bowl, combine warm water and sugar. Sprinkle yeast over the water and let it sit for about 5-10 minutes until frothy.

  2. 2

    Mix the Dry Ingredients

In a large mixing bowl, whisk together the flour and salt.

  3. 3

    Combine Ingredients

Make a well in the center of the flour mixture and add the activated yeast and olive oil. Mix until a dough forms.

  4. 4

    Knead the Dough

Turn the dough onto a floured surface and knead for about 8-10 minutes until smooth and elastic.

  5. 5

    First Rise

Place the kneaded dough in a greased bowl, cover with a damp cloth, and let it rise in a warm area for about 1 hour, or until doubled in size.

  6. 6

    Shape the Bread

Once risen, punch down the dough and shape it into a loaf or desired shape. Place it in a greased loaf pan or on a baking sheet.

  7. 7

    Second Rise

Cover the shaped dough with a damp cloth and let it rise again for about 30 minutes.

  8. 8

    Bake the Bread

Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C). Bake the bread for 25-30 minutes until golden brown. Cool on a wire rack.

Butter Preparation

  1. 9

    Melt the Butter

In a small saucepan over low heat, melt the unsalted butter gently.

  2. 10

    Add Garlic and Seasoning

Once melted, add the minced garlic and cook for 1-2 minutes until fragrant but not browned. Remove from heat.

  3. 11

    Mix in Parsley

Stir in the chopped parsley, salt, and black pepper to taste. Let it cool slightly before using.
