Method

Steak Preparation

  1. 1

    Season the Steak

Generously season both sides of the Prime New York Strip Steak with kosher salt and freshly ground black pepper. Allow the steak to sit at room temperature for 30 minutes.

  2. 2

    Preheat the Grill

Prepare your wood-fired grill by lighting the wood and allowing it to reach a high temperature, around 500°F (260°C).

  3. 3

    Cook the Steak

Brush the steak with olive oil and place it on the grill. Cook for about 4-5 minutes on each side for medium-rare, or until the desired doneness is achieved. Use fresh rosemary as a baste while grilling.

  4. 4

    Rest the Steak

Remove the steak from the grill and let it rest for 10 minutes before slicing.

Mashed Potatoes Preparation

  1. 5

    Boil the Potatoes

Peel and cut the russet potatoes into quarters. Place them in a large pot of salted water and bring to a boil. Cook until fork-tender, about 15-20 minutes.

  2. 6

    Mash the Potatoes

Drain the potatoes and return them to the pot. Add unsalted butter, heavy cream, salt, and black pepper. Mash until smooth and creamy.

Grilled Vegetables Preparation

  1. 7

    Prepare the Vegetables

Slice the zucchini into thick rounds, cut the bell peppers into quarters, and slice the red onion into thick wedges.

  2. 8

    Season and Grill the Vegetables

In a bowl, toss the vegetables with olive oil, salt, and black pepper. Grill the vegetables for about 5-7 minutes, turning occasionally, until they are tender and have grill marks.
