Pork Chop

Method

Cooking the Pork Chop

  1. 1

    Prepare the Pork Chop

Remove the tomahawk pork chop from the refrigerator and let it sit at room temperature for about 30 minutes before cooking. This helps the meat cook evenly.

  2. 2

    Season the Pork Chop

Rub the pork chop with olive oil on both sides. Then, sprinkle garlic powder, smoked paprika, salt, and black pepper evenly over the chop. Make sure to coat it well.

  3. 3

    Cook the Pork Chop

Preheat a grill or cast-iron skillet over medium-high heat. Once hot, place the pork chop on the grill or skillet. Cook for about 5-7 minutes on each side for medium-rare, or until the internal temperature reaches 145°F (63°C).

  4. 4

    Rest the Pork Chop

Once cooked, remove the pork chop from the heat and let it rest for 5-10 minutes. This allows the juices to redistribute.

Making Pineapple Chili Salsa

  1. 5

    Combine Ingredients

In a medium bowl, combine the diced pineapple, red bell pepper, red onion, chopped cilantro, minced jalapeño, and lime juice.

  2. 6

    Season the Salsa

Add salt to the salsa mixture, adjusting to taste. Mix all the ingredients thoroughly until well combined.

  3. 7

    Chill the Salsa

Let the salsa sit for at least 10 minutes to allow the flavors to meld together before serving.
