In a medium saucepan, bring 4 cups of water to a rolling boil.

Add Oats and Salt
Once the water is boiling, stir in 1 cup of steel cut oats and 1 tsp of salt.

Simmer Oats
Reduce the heat to low and let the oats simmer uncovered for about 20-30 minutes, stirring occasionally, until they reach your desired creaminess.

While the oats are cooking, measure out 2 tablespoons of brown sugar, 1 cup of milk, and 1 cup of raisins.
Serve Oatmeal

Combine Oatmeal and Toppings
Once the oatmeal is cooked, spoon it into bowls and top with brown sugar, a splash of milk, and a generous handful of raisins.
