Cajun Sausage

Omelet

Method

Cajun Sausage Preparation

  1. 1

    Cook the Sausage

In a skillet over medium heat, add olive oil. Once hot, add ground pork and cook until browned.

  2. 2

    Season the Sausage

Add paprika, cayenne pepper, garlic powder, onion powder, black pepper, and salt to the cooked pork. Stir well and cook for an additional 2-3 minutes until fragrant.

  3. 3

    Remove from Heat

Once the sausage is cooked, remove it from the skillet and set aside.

Omelet Preparation

  1. 4

    Whisk the Eggs

In a bowl, whisk together the eggs, milk, salt, and black pepper until well combined.

  2. 5

    Cook the Omelet

In the same skillet, melt butter over medium heat. Pour the egg mixture into the skillet, tilting to spread evenly.

  3. 6

    Add Fillings

As the omelet begins to set, sprinkle the cooked Cajun sausage, diced tomatoes, and cheddar cheese over one half of the omelet.

  4. 7

    Fold and Finish Cooking

Once the cheese has melted and the eggs are fully cooked, fold the omelet in half. Cook for another minute, then slide onto a plate.

  5. 8

    Serve with Toppings

Top the omelet with sour cream and salsa before serving.
