Pizza Base

Method

Preparing the Pizza Base

  1. 1

    Preheat the Oven

Preheat your oven to 475°F (245°C) to ensure the pizza cooks evenly and has a crispy crust.

  2. 2

    Prepare the Dough

On a lightly floured surface, roll out the pizza dough into a large circle, about 12-14 inches in diameter. Transfer it to a pizza stone or baking sheet lined with parchment paper.

  3. 3

    Drizzle with Olive Oil

Brush the rolled out dough with olive oil to add flavor and help with browning during baking.

Making the Cream Dill Sauce

  1. 4

    Mix the Ingredients

In a mixing bowl, combine cream cheese, sour cream, chopped dill, lemon juice, garlic powder, salt, and black pepper. Mix until smooth and well-blended.

  2. 5

    Spread on Pizza Base

Evenly spread the cream dill sauce over the prepared pizza base, leaving a small border around the edges.

Adding Toppings

  1. 6

    Layer the Toppings

Arrange the sliced smoked salmon over the cream sauce. Add the thinly sliced red onion and sprinkle capers evenly on top.

  2. 7

    Finish with Lemon Zest

Sprinkle lemon zest over the entire pizza for an extra burst of flavor.

Baking the Pizza

  1. 8

    Bake

Place the pizza in the preheated oven and bake for 12-15 minutes, or until the crust is golden brown and crispy.

  2. 9

    Cool and Serve

Remove the pizza from the oven and let it cool for a few minutes before slicing. Serve warm and enjoy!
