Burger Components

Method

Preparing the Garlic Aioli

  1. 1

    Mix the Ingredients

In a mixing bowl, combine 1 cup of mayonnaise, 2 minced garlic cloves, 1 tablespoon of lemon juice, 1 teaspoon of salt, and pepper to taste. Stir well until all ingredients are thoroughly mixed.

  2. 2

    Chill the Aioli

Cover the bowl with plastic wrap and refrigerate the garlic aioli for at least 30 minutes to allow the flavors to meld.

Assembling the Garden Burger

  1. 3

    Cook the Burger Patties

Preheat a grill or frying pan over medium heat. Cook the garden burger patties for about 5-7 minutes on each side, or until they are heated through and have nice grill marks.

  2. 4

    Add Cheese

During the last minute of cooking, place a slice of pepper jack cheese on each patty. Cover with a lid to melt the cheese.

  3. 5

    Prepare the Vegetables

While the burgers are cooking, slice the avocado and tomato. If desired, season with a pinch of salt.

  4. 6

    Toast the Buns

Lightly toast the burger buns on the grill or in a toaster until golden brown.

  5. 7

    Assemble the Burger

Spread a generous amount of garlic aioli on the bottom half of each toasted bun. Layer with lettuce leaves, the cooked burger patty with melted cheese, sliced avocado, and tomato. Top with the other half of the bun.
