Method

Tea Preparation

  1. 1

    Boil Water

In a medium saucepan, bring 4 cups of water to a boil over high heat.

  2. 2

    Steep Tea

Once the water is boiling, remove the saucepan from heat. Add 4 black tea bags to the hot water and let them steep for about 5-7 minutes, depending on your desired strength.

  3. 3

    Sweeten the Tea

After steeping, remove the tea bags. While the tea is still warm, stir in 1 cup of sugar until fully dissolved. If you prefer a less sweet tea, adjust the sugar quantity to taste.

  4. 4

    Add Lemon Juice

Stir in 1 cup of fresh lemon juice to the sweetened tea mixture.

  5. 5

    Cool the Tea

Allow the tea to cool to room temperature, then transfer it to the refrigerator to chill for at least 1 hour.

Serving

  1. 6

    Prepare Glasses

In a tall glass, add about 1 cup of ice cubes.

  2. 7

    Pour the Tea

Pour the chilled tea over the ice cubes in the glass, filling it about 3/4 full.

  3. 8

    Garnish

Garnish with lemon slices and fresh mint leaves, as desired.

  4. 9

    Serve

Serve immediately and enjoy your refreshing iced tea!
