Method

Pasta Preparation

  1. 1

    Cook the Fettuccine

Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Add the fettuccine and cook according to package instructions until al dente, usually about 10-12 minutes. Drain and set aside.

Sauce Preparation

  1. 2

    Make the Alfredo Sauce

In a large skillet, melt the butter over medium heat. Add the minced garlic and sauté for about 1-2 minutes until fragrant, being careful not to burn it.

  2. 3

    Add Cream and Wine

Pour in the heavy cream and white wine, stirring to combine. Bring the mixture to a gentle simmer.

  3. 4

    Add Cheese and Seasoning

Gradually whisk in the grated Parmesan cheese until melted and smooth. Season with black pepper and salt to taste.

Combine and Serve

  1. 5

    Combine Pasta and Sauce

Add the cooked fettuccine to the skillet with the Alfredo sauce. Toss to coat the pasta evenly with the sauce.

  2. 6

    Add Optional Protein/Vegetables

If using, add the grilled chicken, shrimp, or sautéed seasonal vegetables to the pasta and sauce mixture. Toss again to combine.

  3. 7

    Serve

Serve hot, garnished with extra Parmesan cheese and freshly cracked black pepper if desired.
