Preparation

  1. 1

    Chop the Vegetables

Dice the green bell pepper and onion into small pieces, ensuring they are uniform for even cooking.

  2. 2

    Prepare the Eggs

In a bowl, crack the eggs and add milk. Season with salt and black pepper to taste. Whisk until well combined.

Cooking

  1. 3

    Heat the Pan

In a non-stick skillet, heat the olive oil or butter over medium heat until melted.

  2. 4

    Cook the Vegetables

Add the diced green bell pepper and onion to the skillet. Sauté for about 3-4 minutes or until they are softened and slightly caramelized.

  3. 5

    Add the Ham

Stir in the diced ham and cook for another 2 minutes until heated through.

  4. 6

    Add the Egg Mixture

Pour the egg mixture over the vegetables and ham in the skillet. Allow it to cook undisturbed for 2-3 minutes until the edges start to set.

  5. 7

    Add the Cheese

Sprinkle the shredded cheese evenly over the top of the omelet. Cover the skillet with a lid and let it cook for another 3-4 minutes, or until the cheese has melted and the eggs are fully cooked.

  6. 8

    Serve

Carefully slide the omelet onto a plate, folding it in half if desired. Cut into wedges and serve hot.
