Method

Preparation

  1. 1

    Gather Your Ingredients

Ensure you have all your ingredients ready: gin, Lillet Blanc, orange liqueur, fresh lemon juice, and orange zest.

  2. 2

    Juice the Lemon

Squeeze fresh lemons to obtain 0.75 oz of lemon juice. Strain to remove seeds and pulp if necessary.

  3. 3

    Prepare the Zest

Use a microplane or zester to remove the zest from an orange, making sure to avoid the bitter white pith.

Mixing

  1. 4

    Combine the Ingredients

In a cocktail shaker, combine 2 oz of gin, 1 oz of Lillet Blanc, 0.5 oz of orange liqueur, and 0.75 oz of fresh lemon juice.

  2. 5

    Shake with Ice

Add ice to the shaker and shake vigorously for about 15 seconds until well chilled.

  3. 6

    Strain into a Glass

Strain the mixture into a chilled cocktail glass or coupe, ensuring no ice makes it into the glass.

  4. 7

    Garnish

Sprinkle 1 tsp of orange zest on top of the drink for added aroma and flavor.
