Prepare the Burger Patties
In a large bowl, mix the ground beef with salt, black pepper, garlic powder, and onion powder. Divide the mixture into 4 equal portions and shape them into half-pound patties.

Toast the Buns
While the burgers are cooking, lightly toast the burger buns on the grill or in a toaster until golden brown.

Add Optional Ingredients
If desired, cook the bacon slices in a skillet until crispy. Assemble the burgers by placing the patties on the buns and adding bacon, lettuce, tomato, or any other toppings you like.

Fry the Potatoes
Heat the vegetable oil in a large pot or deep fryer to 350°F (175°C). Carefully add the potato strips in batches, frying until golden brown and crispy, about 5-7 minutes. Remove with a slotted spoon and place on paper towels to drain.

While the fries are still hot, sprinkle with salt to taste.

Prepare the Salad
In a large bowl, combine chopped Romaine lettuce with Caesar dressing, Parmesan cheese, and croutons. Toss well to coat.
