Shrimp Preparation
- 1
Prepare the Shrimp
In a large bowl, combine the all-purpose flour, cornstarch, salt, and black pepper. Mix well.
- 2
Breading the Shrimp
Dip each shrimp first into the beaten eggs, then dredge in the flour mixture until well coated. Set aside on a plate.
Frying Shrimp
- 3
Heat the Oil
In a large skillet or deep fryer, heat the vegetable oil over medium-high heat until it reaches 350°F (175°C).
- 4
Fry the Shrimp
Carefully add the breaded shrimp to the hot oil in batches, making sure not to overcrowd the pan. Fry for 2-3 minutes or until golden brown and cooked through. Remove and drain on paper towels.
Buffalo Sauce Preparation
- 5
Make the Buffalo Sauce
In a small saucepan over medium heat, melt the unsalted butter. Once melted, stir in the hot sauce, garlic powder, Worcestershire sauce, cayenne pepper, and honey. Mix until well combined and heated through.
Final Assembly
- 6
Combine Shrimp and Sauce
In a large mixing bowl, toss the fried shrimp with the buffalo sauce until evenly coated.
- 7
Serve
Transfer the buffalo shrimp to a serving platter and serve immediately with celery sticks and blue cheese dressing if desired.
