Tomato Topping

Method

Preparing the Crostinis

  1. 1

    Slice the Baguette

Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C). Slice the baguette into 1/2 inch thick slices.

  2. 2

    Brush with Olive Oil

Place the slices on a baking sheet and brush one side of each slice generously with olive oil.

  3. 3

    Bake the Crostinis

Bake in the preheated oven for about 8-10 minutes, or until golden and crispy. Remove from the oven and let cool.

Preparing the Tomato Topping

  1. 4

    Chop the Tomatoes

Wash and dice the fresh tomatoes into small pieces and place them in a mixing bowl.

  2. 5

    Mince the Garlic

Peel and mince the garlic cloves, then add them to the bowl with the tomatoes.

  3. 6

    Add Basil and Seasoning

Chop the fresh basil leaves and add them to the bowl. Season the mixture with salt and black pepper.

  4. 7

    Add Parmesan Cheese

Grate the Parmesan cheese and fold it into the tomato mixture gently, ensuring everything is well combined.

Assembling the Bruschetta

  1. 8

    Top the Crostinis

Once the crostinis are cool, spoon a generous amount of the tomato topping onto the oiled side of each crostini.

  2. 9

    Serve Immediately

Arrange the bruschetta on a serving platter and serve immediately for the best flavor and texture.
