Main Ingredients

Method

Preparation

  1. 1

    Prepare the Hashbrowns

If using frozen hashbrowns, follow package instructions for cooking. If using fresh potatoes, peel and grate them, then rinse and squeeze out excess moisture.

  2. 2

    Prep the Ham

Slice the ham into thin pieces or cubes, depending on your preference.

Cooking

  1. 3

    Cook the Hashbrowns

In a frying pan, heat half of the butter over medium heat. Add the hashbrowns, season with salt and pepper, and cook until golden brown, about 5-7 minutes. Flip and cook the other side for another 5-7 minutes until crispy.

  2. 4

    Cook the Eggs

In another pan, heat the remaining butter over medium heat. Crack the eggs into the pan and cook to your desired doneness (sunny side up, over easy, etc.), seasoning with salt and pepper.

  3. 5

    Cook the Ham

In the same pan used for the eggs, add the ham and cook for 2-3 minutes until heated through and slightly crispy.

  4. 6

    Toast the Bread

While the eggs and ham are cooking, toast the bread slices in a toaster or on a griddle until golden brown.

Assembly

  1. 7

    Plate the Dish

On a plate, arrange the crispy hashbrowns, place the cooked eggs on top, and add the ham beside it. Serve with the toasted bread on the side.
