California Buffalo Burger Recipe

Preparing the Burger Patty

Mix the Ingredients
In a large bowl, combine the ground buffalo meat, garlic powder, onion powder, paprika, salt, black pepper, and Worcestershire sauce. Mix gently until just combined, being careful not to overwork the meat.

Form the Patties
Divide the mixture into two equal portions and shape them into burger patties, about 3/4 inch thick.

Chill the Patties
Place the patties on a plate and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes to help them hold their shape while cooking.

Add Cheese
In the last minute of cooking, place a slice of provolone cheese on each patty and cover to melt the cheese slightly.

Build the Burger
On the bottom half of each bun, layer fresh spinach leaves, followed by the cooked buffalo patty with melted provolone, then add tomato and onion slices.

Place the top half of the bun over the toppings and serve immediately.
