Wings

Sauce (Optional)
Method
Preparation
- 1
Prepare the Wings
Rinse the bone-in chicken wings under cold water and pat them dry with paper towels. This step is crucial for achieving a crispy skin.
- 2
Season the Wings
In a large bowl, combine salt, black pepper, garlic powder, paprika, and baking powder. Add the chicken wings to the bowl and toss until they are evenly coated with the seasoning mixture.
Frying
- 3
Heat the Oil
In a deep fryer or a large heavy pot, pour in the vegetable oil and heat it to 375°F (190°C). Use a thermometer to check the temperature for accurate frying.
- 4
Fry the Wings
Carefully add the seasoned wings to the hot oil in batches. Do not overcrowd the fryer. Fry the wings for about 10-12 minutes or until they are golden brown and crispy. Remove the wings and let them drain on paper towels.
Optional Sauce
- 5
Prepare the Sauce
In a small saucepan over low heat, melt the unsalted butter. Once melted, add the hot sauce and stir until well combined. Remove from heat.
- 6
Toss the Wings in Sauce
If desired, toss the fried wings in the prepared hot sauce before serving for extra flavor.
