Main Ingredients

Method

Preparation

  1. 1

    Cook the beef

In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add chopped onions and minced garlic, cooking until softened. Add ground beef and cook until browned.

  2. 2

    Add vegetables

Stir in diced potatoes and carrots. Cook for about 5 minutes, stirring occasionally.

  3. 3

    Simmer

Pour in beef broth and Worcestershire sauce. Season with salt, black pepper, and thyme. Bring to a simmer and let cook for 15 minutes.

  4. 4

    Add peas

Stir in frozen peas and cook for an additional 5 minutes.

  5. 5

    Prepare the pastry

Roll out the pastry dough and line a pie dish. Pour the beef and vegetable mixture into the pastry-lined pie dish.

  6. 6

    Cover and bake

Cover the pie with another layer of pastry, sealing the edges. Cut slits in the top to allow steam to escape. Bake in a preheated oven at 400°F (200°C) for 25-30 minutes or until golden brown.
