Cooking Instructions

  1. 1

    Prepare the Steak

Take the Wagyu A-5 Tenderloin out of the refrigerator and let it sit at room temperature for about 30 minutes before cooking. This helps in cooking it evenly.

  2. 2

    Season the Steak

Pat the tenderloin dry with paper towels. Generously season both sides with salt and black pepper.

  3. 3

    Heat the Pan

In a cast iron skillet or heavy pan, heat the olive oil over medium-high heat until it shimmers.

  4. 4

    Sear the Steak

Carefully place the seasoned tenderloin in the hot skillet. Sear for about 2-3 minutes on each side for medium-rare, adjusting the time based on your desired doneness.

  5. 5

    Add Butter and Rosemary

During the last minute of cooking, add the butter and rosemary to the pan. Baste the steak with the melted butter using a spoon.

  6. 6

    Rest the Steak

Remove the steak from the skillet and let it rest for at least 5 minutes before slicing. This allows the juices to redistribute.

  7. 7

    Serve

Slice the tenderloin against the grain and serve immediately. Enjoy your Wagyu A-5 Tenderloin!
