Method

Preparing the Hanger Steak

  1. 1

    Season the Steak

Pat the hanger steak dry with paper towels. Season both sides generously with salt and black pepper.

  2. 2

    Cook the Steak

Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium-high heat. Once hot, add the seasoned steak and cook for about 4-5 minutes on each side for medium-rare, or until desired doneness. Remove from skillet and let rest for 5 minutes before slicing.

Preparing the Stuffed Potato

  1. 3

    Bake the Potato

Preheat the oven to 425°F (220°C). Pierce the russet potato with a fork, then rub with olive oil and sprinkle with salt. Bake for about 45-60 minutes until tender.

  2. 4

    Stuff the Potato

Once baked, cut the potato in half and scoop out some of the flesh into a bowl. Mix with butter, sour cream, cheddar cheese, and chopped chives. Fill the potato skins with the mixture.

Preparing the Green Beans

  1. 5

    Cook the Green Beans

In a skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add minced garlic and sauté for about 30 seconds. Add green beans, season with salt, and sauté until tender, about 5-7 minutes.

Preparing the Dinner Salad

  1. 6

    Assemble the Salad

In a large bowl, combine mixed salad greens, cherry tomatoes, and cucumber. Drizzle with olive oil and balsamic vinegar, then season with salt and black pepper to taste. Toss gently to combine.
