Preparing the Poboy Sandwich
- 1
Slice the French Bread
Using a serrated knife, slice the French bread loaf horizontally, leaving one side attached to create a hinge.
- 2
Spread Mayonnaise
Spread a generous layer of mayonnaise on the inside of both halves of the bread.
- 3
Add Lettuce
Layer the lettuce evenly on one half of the bread, covering it thoroughly.
- 4
Slice the Tomato
Slice the large tomato into thin slices and place them on top of the lettuce.
- 5
Add Pickles
Add the pickles on top of the tomatoes, spreading them evenly.
- 6
Close the Sandwich
Fold the other half of the bread over the toppings to complete the sandwich.
Preparing the Fries
- 7
Preheat the Oven
Preheat your oven to 425°F (220°C).
- 8
Cut the Potatoes
Wash and peel the potatoes, then cut them into thin strips for frying.
- 9
Season the Fries
In a large bowl, toss the potato strips with olive oil, salt, and black pepper until well coated.
- 10
Bake the Fries
Spread the fries in a single layer on a baking sheet and bake in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes, flipping halfway through, until golden and crispy.
