Chicken Tenders

Prepare the Chicken
Slice the chicken breast into strips about 1 inch wide.

Bread the Chicken
Dip each chicken strip into the flour, then into the egg, and finally coat with the bread crumbs.

Heat Oil
In a large frying pan, heat vegetable oil over medium-high heat until hot.

Fry the Chicken Tenders
Add breaded chicken strips to the hot oil in batches, cooking for about 4-5 minutes on each side until golden brown and cooked through.

Drain Excess Oil
Remove chicken tenders from the oil and place on a paper towel-lined plate to drain.
Fries or Sweet Potato Fries

Prepare the Potatoes
If making regular fries, wash and cut the potatoes into thin strips. For sweet potato fries, peel and cut sweet potatoes into strips.

Bake the Fries
Spread the fries in a single layer on a baking sheet and bake in a preheated oven at 425°F (220°C) for 20-25 minutes or until golden and crispy, flipping halfway through.
Serve

Plate the Dish
Serve the chicken tenders hot alongside the fries or sweet potato fries, and include a can of your chosen soft drink.
