Method

Brewing the Tea

  1. 1

    Boil Water

In a large pot, bring 8 cups of water to a boil over high heat.

  2. 2

    Add Tea Leaves

Once the water is boiling, add 4 tablespoons of black tea leaves to the pot.

  3. 3

    Add Flavoring Ingredients

Add 1 tablespoon of freshly grated ginger, 3 crushed cardamom pods, and 1 cinnamon stick to the pot.

  4. 4

    Simmer

Reduce the heat to low and let the mixture simmer for 10-15 minutes to allow the flavors to meld.

  5. 5

    Strain the Tea

After simmering, strain the tea into a pitcher to remove the solid ingredients.

Finishing the Tea

  1. 6

    Sweeten the Tea

Stir in 1 tablespoon of sugar until dissolved.

  2. 7

    Add Milk

Pour in 1 cup of milk and stir well to combine.

  3. 8

    Add Vanilla

Add 1 teaspoon of vanilla extract for added flavor and stir again.

  4. 9

    Serve Hot

Pour the tea into cups and serve hot, optionally garnished with a sprinkle of cinnamon.
