Method
Chicken Fried Chicken
- 1
Marinate the Chicken
In a large bowl, place the chicken breasts and cover them with buttermilk. Let them marinate in the refrigerator for at least 1 hour, preferably overnight.
- 2
Prepare the Breading
In another bowl, mix together the flour, salt, black pepper, garlic powder, onion powder, and paprika.
- 3
Bread the Chicken
Remove chicken from the buttermilk, allowing excess to drip off. Dredge each piece in the flour mixture, ensuring they are evenly coated. Shake off any excess flour.
- 4
Fry the Chicken
In a large skillet, heat the vegetable oil over medium-high heat. Once hot, carefully place the breaded chicken pieces in the skillet. Fry until golden brown and cooked through, about 5-7 minutes per side. Remove and drain on paper towels.

Add Broth
Slowly whisk in the chicken broth, ensuring no lumps form. Cook until the gravy thickens, about 3-5 minutes. Season with salt and black pepper.
