Turkey

Method

Preparing the Turkey

  1. 1

    Preheat Oven

Preheat your oven to 325°F (165°C).

  2. 2

    Prepare the Turkey

Rinse the turkey under cold water and pat it dry with paper towels.

  3. 3

    Season the Turkey

Rub the turkey with olive oil, then season it generously with salt, black pepper, garlic powder, and onion powder, making sure to coat the inside of the cavity as well.

  4. 4

    Roast the Turkey

Place the seasoned turkey on a roasting rack in a large roasting pan. Roast in the preheated oven for about 13-15 minutes per pound, or until the internal temperature reaches 165°F (74°C). Baste the turkey with BBQ sauce every hour.

Preparing the Salad

  1. 5

    Mix the Greens

In a large bowl, combine the mixed greens, diced tomatoes, corn, black beans, and crispy cheddar onions.

  2. 6

    Dress the Salad

Drizzle the chipotle ranch dressing over the salad and toss gently to combine.

Serving

  1. 7

    Slice the Turkey

Once the turkey is fully cooked, remove it from the oven and let it rest for at least 20 minutes before slicing.

  2. 8

    Plate the Dish

Serve sliced turkey on a plate, accompanied by the mixed greens salad on the side, and add additional BBQ sauce if desired.
