Cooking Instructions

  1. 1

    Prepare Potato Croquettes

Boil the potatoes until fork-tender. Drain and mash. Mix in the egg, salt, and pepper. Form into small cylinders, coat with breadcrumbs, and refrigerate for 30 minutes.

  2. 2

    Cook Potato Croquettes

Heat oil in a frying pan over medium heat. Fry the croquettes until golden brown on all sides, about 3-4 minutes per side. Remove and drain on paper towels.

  3. 3

    Prepare Asparagus

In the same pan, add a bit of olive oil and sauté the asparagus for about 5 minutes until tender but still crisp. Season with salt and pepper.

  4. 4

    Cook Wagyu Steak

Season the Wagyu steaks with salt and pepper. In a hot skillet, add butter and sear the steaks for 3-4 minutes on each side, or until they reach your desired doneness. Remove and let rest.

  5. 5

    Prepare Mushroom Sauce

In the same skillet, add more butter and sauté the mushrooms until golden. Add crushed peppercorns and a splash of water or stock. Simmer to reduce slightly.

  6. 6

    Plate the Dish

On each plate, arrange the Wagyu steak, potato croquettes, and sautéed asparagus. Spoon mushroom sauce over the steak and serve immediately.
