Garlic Butter

Method

Preparation

  1. 1

    Preheat the Oven

Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C). This will ensure that the bread gets nicely toasted.

  2. 2

    Prepare the Garlic Butter

In a medium bowl, combine the softened unsalted butter, minced garlic (from 4 cloves), chopped fresh parsley, salt, and black pepper. Mix well until all the ingredients are evenly incorporated.

  3. 3

    Slice the Baguette

Using a serrated knife, slice the French baguette in half lengthwise. You can also slice it into smaller pieces if you prefer individual servings.

Assembly

  1. 4

    Spread the Garlic Butter

Generously spread the garlic butter mixture evenly over the cut sides of the baguette, ensuring every part is covered.

Baking

  1. 5

    Bake the Garlic Bread

Place the prepared baguette halves on a baking sheet, cut side up. Bake in the preheated oven for about 10-12 minutes or until the edges are golden brown and the butter is bubbly.

  2. 6

    Optional Broil

For an extra crispy top, you can switch the oven to broil for the last 1-2 minutes of baking. Keep a close eye to prevent burning.

Serving

  1. 7

    Serve Warm

Remove the garlic bread from the oven and let it cool for a minute. Cut it into slices if you haven't already, and serve warm.
