Cooking the Pasta

Boil the Pasta
In a large pot, bring salted water to a boil. Add the fettuccine pasta and cook according to package instructions until al dente, usually about 8-10 minutes.

Drain the Pasta
Once cooked, drain the pasta in a colander and set aside. Reserve a cup of pasta water for later use.
Grilling the Chicken

Prepare the Chicken
Season both sides of the chicken breasts with salt and black pepper.

Grill the Chicken
In a skillet over medium heat, add olive oil. Once hot, add the chicken breasts. Grill for about 6-7 minutes on each side until fully cooked. Remove from heat and let it rest before slicing.

Add Heavy Cream
Pour in the heavy cream and bring to a simmer. Stir continuously for 2-3 minutes.

Incorporate Parmesan
Gradually whisk in the grated Parmesan cheese until fully melted and incorporated. Season with salt and black pepper to taste.

Combine Pasta and Sauce
Add the drained fettuccine pasta to the Alfredo sauce, toss to coat. If the sauce is too thick, add reserved pasta water a little at a time until desired consistency is reached.
Serving the Dish

Slice the Chicken
Slice the grilled chicken into strips.

Serve the creamy fettuccine Alfredo on plates, top with sliced chicken, and garnish with chopped parsley.
