Prep the Ingredients
Wash the fresh tomatoes and basil leaves thoroughly. Dice the tomatoes into small cubes and place them in a mixing bowl. Tear the basil leaves into small pieces and add them to the tomatoes.

Prepare the Cheese
Drain the fresh mozzarella cheese and cut it into small cubes. Add the mozzarella to the bowl with the tomatoes and basil.

Slice the Bread
Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C). Slice the baguette or ciabatta loaf into 1/2-inch thick slices.

Toast the Bread
Brush both sides of each slice with olive oil. Place the slices on a baking sheet and toast in the preheated oven for about 5-7 minutes or until golden brown and crispy.

Assemble the Bruschetta
Once the bread is toasted, remove it from the oven and let it cool slightly. Spoon the tomato and mozzarella mixture generously onto each slice of toasted bread.
