Preparation

  1. 1

    Prep the Ingredients

Wash the fresh tomatoes and basil leaves thoroughly. Dice the tomatoes into small cubes and place them in a mixing bowl. Tear the basil leaves into small pieces and add them to the tomatoes.

  2. 2

    Prepare the Cheese

Drain the fresh mozzarella cheese and cut it into small cubes. Add the mozzarella to the bowl with the tomatoes and basil.

  3. 3

    Season the Mixture

Add the minced garlic (finely chopped), balsamic vinegar, salt, and black pepper to the bowl. Gently mix all the ingredients together until well combined. Set aside to allow the flavors to meld.

Toasting the Bread

  1. 4

    Slice the Bread

Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C). Slice the baguette or ciabatta loaf into 1/2-inch thick slices.

  2. 5

    Toast the Bread

Brush both sides of each slice with olive oil. Place the slices on a baking sheet and toast in the preheated oven for about 5-7 minutes or until golden brown and crispy.

Assembly

  1. 6

    Assemble the Bruschetta

Once the bread is toasted, remove it from the oven and let it cool slightly. Spoon the tomato and mozzarella mixture generously onto each slice of toasted bread.

  2. 7

    Serve

Arrange the bruschetta on a serving platter and serve immediately. Enjoy your fresh and delicious bruschetta!
