Method

Steak Preparation

  1. 1

    Prepare the Steak

Remove the ribeye steaks from the refrigerator and let them sit at room temperature for about 30 minutes before cooking.

  2. 2

    Season the Steak

Rub both sides of the steaks with olive oil, then sprinkle with salt, black pepper, garlic powder, and fresh rosemary, ensuring they are evenly coated.

  3. 3

    Preheat the Grill

Preheat your grill to high heat, about 450°F (232°C).

  4. 4

    Grill the Steak

Place the steaks on the hot grill and cook for 4-5 minutes on one side. Flip the steaks and cook for another 4-5 minutes for medium-rare, or longer if desired.

  5. 5

    Rest the Steak

Remove the steaks from the grill and let them rest for 5 minutes before slicing.

Mashed Potatoes Preparation

  1. 6

    Peel and Cut Potatoes

Peel the potatoes and cut them into quarters for even cooking.

  2. 7

    Boil the Potatoes

Place the cut potatoes in a pot of salted water and bring to a boil. Cook for about 15-20 minutes until fork-tender.

  3. 8

    Drain and Mash

Drain the cooked potatoes and return them to the pot. Add the butter, milk, salt, and black pepper.

  4. 9

    Mix the Mashed Potatoes

Using a potato masher or electric mixer, mash the potatoes until smooth and creamy, adjusting seasoning to taste.
