Main Ingredients

Method

Preparing the Salmon

  1. 1

    Preheat the Grill

Preheat your grill to medium-high heat (about 375°F or 190°C).

  2. 2

    Prepare the Salmon

Pat the salmon fillets dry with paper towels. Drizzle olive oil over the fillets and season both sides with salt and black pepper.

  3. 3

    Grill the Salmon

Place the salmon fillets skin-side down on the grill. Grill for about 6-8 minutes on each side, depending on the thickness of the fillets. The salmon should be opaque and flake easily with a fork.

Making the Lemon Butter Sauce

  1. 4

    Melt the Butter

In a saucepan over medium heat, melt the unsalted butter until it is fully melted and bubbling.

  2. 5

    Add Garlic

Add minced garlic to the melted butter and sauté for about 1 minute, or until fragrant. Do not let it brown.

  3. 6

    Incorporate Lemon

Stir in fresh lemon juice and lemon zest into the garlic butter mixture and cook for an additional 1-2 minutes.

  4. 7

    Finish the Sauce

Remove the saucepan from heat and stir in chopped fresh parsley. Season with salt and pepper to taste.

Serving

  1. 8

    Plate the Salmon

Once the salmon is cooked, remove it from the grill and place it on a serving plate.

  2. 9

    Drizzle Sauce

Generously drizzle the lemon butter sauce over the grilled salmon fillets.

  3. 10

    Garnish and Serve

Garnish with additional parsley if desired, and serve immediately with your choice of sides.
