Burger Patty

Method

Prepare the Burger Patty

  1. 1

    Mix Ingredients

In a large bowl, combine the ground beef, salt, black pepper, and garlic powder. Mix well with your hands until fully combined.

  2. 2

    Form Patties

Divide the mixture into four equal portions and form each portion into a patty, about ¾ inch thick.

Sauté the Mushrooms

  1. 3

    Heat the Butter

In a large skillet, melt the herb butter over medium heat.

  2. 4

    Sauté Mushrooms and Garlic

Add the sliced mushrooms to the skillet and sauté for about 5 minutes, until they begin to soften. Add the minced garlic and continue to sauté for an additional 2-3 minutes until fragrant. Stir in the chopped parsley and remove from heat.

Cook the Burger Patties

  1. 5

    Grill or Pan-Fry

In the same skillet (or on a grill), cook the burger patties over medium-high heat for about 4-5 minutes on each side for medium doneness, or until cooked to your desired level.

  2. 6

    Melt the Cheese

In the last minute of cooking, place a slice of Swiss cheese on each patty and cover the skillet to let the cheese melt.

Assemble the Burger

  1. 7

    Prepare the Buns

While the cheese is melting, lightly toast the burger buns on a separate skillet or in a toaster.

  2. 8

    Build the Burger

On the bottom half of each toasted bun, place a lettuce leaf, followed by a cooked patty with melted cheese, sautéed mushrooms, and optional tomato slices. Add ketchup and mustard to taste, then top with the other half of the bun.
