Method

Preparing the Burger Patty

  1. 1

    Form the Patties

In a bowl, mix the ground beef with salt, black pepper, and garlic powder. Form the mixture into two equal-sized patties, about 1/2 inch thick.

  2. 2

    Cook the Patties

Preheat a grill or skillet over medium-high heat. Cook the patties for about 4-5 minutes on each side, or until they reach your desired level of doneness.

  3. 3

    Add Cheese

During the last minute of cooking, place a slice of cheddar cheese on each patty and cover with a lid to melt the cheese.

Preparing the Fries

  1. 4

    Prepare the Potatoes

Wash and peel the potatoes. Cut them into thin strips to form fries.

  2. 5

    Season and Bake

Preheat your oven to 425°F (220°C). Toss the cut fries in a bowl with olive oil and salt. Spread them out on a baking sheet in a single layer.

  3. 6

    Bake the Fries

Bake the fries in the preheated oven for about 20-25 minutes, turning halfway through, until they are golden brown and crispy.

Assembling the Cheeseburger

  1. 7

    Toast the Buns

Optional: Toast the burger buns on the grill or in a toaster until golden brown for added flavor.

  2. 8

    Assemble the Burger

On the bottom half of each bun, place a lettuce leaf, followed by the cooked patty with melted cheese, a slice of tomato, pickles, and your choice of ketchup and mustard.

  3. 9

    Complete the Burger

Cover with the top half of the bun and serve immediately with the fries on the side.
