Method

Burger Patty Preparation

  1. 1

    Prepare the Beef Patty

In a mixing bowl, combine the ground beef with salt, black pepper, and garlic powder. Mix until just combined.

  2. 2

    Shape the Patties

Divide the beef mixture into two equal portions and shape them into burger patties, about ¾ inch thick.

Cooking the Burger

  1. 3

    Cook the Patties

Preheat a grill or skillet over medium-high heat. Cook the beef patties for about 4-5 minutes on each side, or until they reach your desired level of doneness.

Grilling Pineapple

  1. 4

    Grill the Pineapple

While the patties are cooking, grill the pineapple rings for about 2-3 minutes on each side until they are caramelized and have grill marks.

Making Teriyaki Mayonnaise

  1. 5

    Mix the Mayonnaise

In a small bowl, combine mayonnaise, teriyaki sauce, sesame seeds, and chopped green onions. Mix until well combined.

Assembling the Burger

  1. 6

    Build the Burger

Toast the burger buns lightly on the grill or in a toaster. Place a lettuce leaf on the bottom half of each bun, add the beef patty, top with a slice of cheddar cheese, followed by a grilled pineapple ring, and finish with a generous dollop of teriyaki mayonnaise. Close with the top half of the bun.
