Sweet Tea Tenders
Method
Preparation
- 1
Brine the Chicken
In a large pot, bring 4 cups of water to a boil. Remove from heat and add the tea bags, brown sugar, and salt. Let steep for 10 minutes before removing the tea bags.
- 2
Marinate
Let the brine cool completely, then add the chicken tenders to the pot. Ensure they are fully submerged. Cover and refrigerate for at least 2 hours, or up to overnight.
- 3
Prepare for Cooking
Remove the chicken from the brine and pat dry. In a bowl, mix together black pepper, garlic powder, and onion powder. Coat each tender with the spice mixture.
- 4
Cook the Tenders
Heat vegetable oil in a frying pan over medium-high heat. Fry the chicken tenders for 4-5 minutes on each side or until golden brown and cooked through. Remove and drain on paper towels.
