Method
Dough Preparation
- 1
Make the Dough
In a large mixing bowl, combine the all-purpose flour and salt. Gradually add water, mixing until a soft dough forms. Knead for about 5-7 minutes until smooth. Cover with a damp cloth and let it rest for 30 minutes.
Filling Preparation
- 2
Prepare the Filling
In a large bowl, combine the chopped cabbage, grated carrot, chopped green beans, and chopped onion. Add grated ginger, minced garlic, chopped green chili, chopped coriander leaves, garam masala, and salt. Mix well until all ingredients are evenly combined.
Dumpling Assembly
- 3
Assemble the Momos
Divide the rested dough into small equal portions. Roll each portion into a thin circle (approximately 3-4 inches in diameter). Place a spoonful of filling in the center of each circle. Carefully fold the dough over the filling to form a half-moon shape and pinch the edges to seal tightly.
Steaming
- 4
Steam the Momos
Prepare a steamer by lining it with parchment paper or lightly greasing it. Place the momos in the steamer, ensuring they are not touching each other. Steam for about 15-20 minutes until the dough is cooked and slightly translucent.
