Boil Water
In a medium saucepan, bring 2 cups of water to a boil over high heat.

Add Spices
Once the water is boiling, add the grated ginger, crushed cardamom pods, cloves, cinnamon stick, and crushed black peppercorns. Stir well.

Simmer
Reduce the heat to medium-low and let the mixture simmer for about 5 minutes to allow the spices to infuse.

Add Tea Leaves
Add the black tea leaves to the saucepan and continue to simmer for another 2-3 minutes.

Add Milk
Pour in 1 cup of milk and stir to combine. Increase the heat slightly and bring the mixture back to a gentle boil.

Strain and Serve
Remove the saucepan from heat and strain the tea into cups using a fine mesh strainer to separate the tea and spices. Serve hot.
