Cooking Instructions
- 1
Prepare the Ingredients
Gather all the ingredients and prepare them accordingly. Slice the onions and jalapeños, chop the bacon, and shred the provolone cheese.
- 2
Cook the Bacon
In a large skillet over medium heat, add the chopped bacon. Cook until crispy, about 5-7 minutes. Remove the bacon from the skillet and set aside, leaving the rendered fat in the pan.
- 3
Sauté the Vegetables
In the same skillet with the bacon fat, add olive oil if needed. Add the sliced onions and sauté until they begin to soften, about 3-4 minutes. Add the sliced jalapeños, salt, and black pepper, cooking for an additional 3-4 minutes or until the onions are caramelized and the jalapeños are tender.
- 4
Combine Ingredients
Reduce the heat to low. Add the crispy bacon back into the skillet and pour the Sriracha sauce over the mixture, stirring well to combine all the ingredients.
- 5
Add Cheese
Sprinkle the shredded provolone cheese over the top and cover the skillet. Let it cook for an additional 2-3 minutes until the cheese is melted and bubbly.
- 6
Serve
Remove from heat and serve hot as a spicy appetizer or side dish.
